The Proletariat Coalition (TPC) is dedicated to the peaceful expansion of socialism. We strive to be a tolerant community, dedicated to the protection and discussion of left-wing thought. For a long time in our beginning history, we were a small region, with smaller goals, in a smaller world. We were beset by attacks both from unorganized fascists and more organized invaders on a grand scale. But uniting in common defense of our common left-wing beliefs, TPC fought off its enemies, with help from its allies in the Marxist-Anarchist-Syndicalist-Socialist Alliance. TPC saw the larger world for what it was, and realized that not only were our left-wing brethren under attack from invaders, but that all regions, large or small were under this threat. TPC began expanding its defense obligations, co-founding the Red Liberty Alliance with its sister region, the Allied States of Euroislanders, as a successor to the dying MASS Alliance and MAP Pact. TPC also joined the Alliance Defense Network, to broaden its goal of defending. While this was happening, TPC grew from a region of a hundred to a region of over three hundred nations flocking to our socialist banner. The modern TPC is not only focused on military matters, however. During the Delegacy of Comrade Jako, TPC began writing a Constitution, which can be found on this website. Its main architect was long-time Judge Southern Tasmania, and it has been loosely based off of the Constitution of Atheist Empire. TPC created a five-nation High Court, to excercise oversight over the actions of the executive by allowing nations with standing to sue against the government. TPC also saw its first contested elections in the living memory of most during the Delegacy of Blackbird, when Ministerial positions as well as the Delegate position itself saw multiple challengers to the incumbant. TPC saw the creation of the Council of Knowledge, an organization dedicated to the discussion, debate and teaching of left-wing beliefs. TPC became a beacon of democracy and law, albeit law tempered by a need for security of a founderless region. The modern TPC is one where debate and discussion live freely, both about real life, out of character issues, and about in character, gameplay issues. It is a region where democracy lives free, and its people live safely. It is a region that I, as a player of Nationstates, am proud to call my home.
